An expedition to the nether parts of India turns into a hellish descent into terror, when David (Larry Casey) reluctantly agrees to accompany his buddy Jake (Trevor Murphy) to a bachelor party cum-caving expedition. A group of young men travel to India`s Shankali Caves, chartering the help of a guide to lead them through its labyrinthine passages; the local informs his charges of the lore surrounding the caverns, describing the mythical evil that lies in its depths. The Westerners are dismissive, but once inside they come face to face with proof of the story`s veracity when a member of the crew is attacked by a giant centipede. An explosion triggered in a fight with the beast traps the group deep underground, and just when the intrepid bunch thinks they have defeated their adversary, they recognize the horrible mistake they have made.
